*.emdeb for building embedded distributions like linuxap?

I was playing with linuxap, trying to add some packages, when I was
thinking that it could be nice to build an embedded system like we build
a debian system (which a stripped version of deb, dsc packages, standard
place for config files, etc...).

I'm digging into that direction, to have something a little bit cleaner
and easier to maintain.

What do you think about?

What should be the constrains for such distribution?

HEY
I like the antenna. I will have to try one of those.

(I also like the packaging idea for linux ap but
haven't worked with it long enough to make any
reasonable comments)
